About Canyon Valley Waterfall Trek

Canyon means a deep valley with steep rock sides and often a stream or river flowing through it. Canyon Valley waterfall fall is one of the most beautiful waterfalls located between Lonavala and khandala. Canyon Valley Waterfall flows in 2 steps. Approx Height of each waterfall is around 150 feet. Canyon valley is also known as Ulhas / Tiger / Bell Valley. Canyon Valley trek starts with Descending through a rocky area n deep forest & ends with a steep climb of 1.5 hour. At the end of valley we will be spending at least one hour in a Waterfall before starting our back journey. It rises along the Ulhas River, from Khandala till Karjat.   • Departure Date & Time for Canyon Valley Trek: 05 May by Sharp 05.45 am at Shivajinagar Railway Station.
  • Arrival Date & Time for Canyon Valley Trek: 05 May by 08.30 pm at Shivajinagar Railway Station.
    (We may come to Pune ONE Hour Before OR After the given time).
  • Meeting Time and Place for Canyon Valley Trek: 05 May by sharp 05.30 am at Shivajinagar Railway Station.
  • Walking Time (estimated) for Canyon Valley Trek: 2.5 Hrs to get Down at Valley & 2.5 Hours to climb the top of valley.
  • Difficulty Grade for Canyon Valley Trek: Medium (Difficulty grade deals with the actual climbing difficulty.)
  • Endurance Grade for Canyon Valley Trek: High (Endurance Grade deals with the stamina and total physical strength required.)

  • Mode of Transport for Canyon Valley Trek: Shivajinager – Lonavala – Shivajinagar by Local (No Seat Reservation).
  • Route: Pune – Lonavala – Pune

    Gather at shivajinagar Railway Station. Give attendance to the Team Explorers.

    Board Pune – Lonavala Local.

    07.15 am

    Get down at Lonavala Railway Station.

    Morning Tea & Breakfast. (Limited) at Lonavala.

    08.30 am

    After breakfast start plain walk of 3 km towards Canyon Valley by plain road.

    09.30 am

    Reach Plateau, after Group Introduction & briefing about the Trek Start descending in to the Canyon Valley through rocky area around 2.5 Hours.
    While descending for tough areas ropes will be fixed & Team Explorers will help you to get down.

    12.15 pm

    Reach Canyon Valley.

    Till 01.15 pm

    Enjoy the Waterfall & Natural water tanks near waterfall.

    Changing time. (Please change your cloths only at decided places by Explorers for Boys & Girls).

    01.45 pm

    Lunch time. (Please bring sufficient Lunch. Nothing will be available in a Valley.)

    02.30 pm

    Start Ascending the Valley via Khandala route around 2.5 hours.
    (Before ascending the Valley Please fill up your water bottles in a Natural Spring)

    05.15 pm

    Reach Khandala Plateau. You can enjoy the Limbu pani or Kala Khatta at Platue. (not included in a Trek Charges) Take return Railway tickets from the Trek Leader. After reaching the top of Canyon Valley participants can move towards Pune at their own responsibility or can wait for the entire group with the Leaders.

    05.30 pm

    Start a Plain walk of 4 kms towards Lonawala Railway Station OR you can hire a Auto at own Expenses. (Auto will take minimum Rs. 50 per Head).

    07.00 pm

    Board Lonavala – Pune Local.

    08.25 pm

    Reach Shivajinagar Railway Station.
    (We may come to Pune ONE Hour Before OR After the given time).

  • What to Bring?

    • A Good Quality of Rucksack suitable for One day Trek with all inside Luggage packed in a Plastic Bag.
    • Sufficient Lunch & Minimum 3 Ltr. Water.
    • Rainproof / Warm wear / Cap as per the Season.
    • Extra Dress, Napkin,Towel.
    • Glucon – D OR Electrol – Optional
    • Shoes Compulsory in a Good Condition while trekking.
    • Dress Code – T-shirt, Flexible Track pant. (HALF PANT NOT ALLOWED.)
    • Any type of addictions like tobacco, Liquor, etc is strictly not allowed.
    • Personal Medicines, if any.

    Some useful tips for Happy Canyon Valley Trekking

    • Don’t keep valuable things while Canyon Valley trekking.
    • Use plastic carry bags to save your mobile & Wallet.
    • Avoid Jean pant for inconvenience in Walking / Climbing.
    • Share your Tiffin with needy Participants.
    • Always keep your Original Photo ID with you.
    • Follow all the Instructions given by Team Explorers.
    • Don’t expect similiar food quality of your home town. Try local food to have some different experience.
    • Respect the Local Religion & Traditions.
    • While taking photographs don’t click photo’s of local people without their permission.
    • Keep Healthy environment & helpful nature while Trekking & at the time of Activity.
    • Don’t keep anything like mobile, Wallet, Gold ornaments at the time of Adventure Activity.
    • Make New friends & share your thoughts in a Group.

    Follow the Rule – “Leave nothing but footprints, kill nothing but time, and shoot nothing but photographs and bring back nothing but memories”

    1. Food: Pure Vegetarian Food will be served by Explorers. If you want Non veg. Food, you can take it at Extra Cost at Actual. Please take the Railway Food (Tea, Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner) in Proper time at Own Cost.
    2. Medicine: Bring personal medicines, if any & the necessary things given in a list.
    3. Railway Reservations: It is not possible for Explorers to ensure that the Participants will get Railway Reservations together or in the same compartment because of random seat allotment by Railway Computerized System.
    4. Transport & Jungle Safari: For Jungle Safari six people can travel in a Gypsy, but it is not sure that same Group / Family can travel in a same Gypsy. If any Natural Calamity or Technical problem results into late or Safari get cancelled then Explorers or the leaders of Explorers are not responsible for same & in that case No refund is admissible.
    5. Jungle Safari Zone: For Jungle Safari Explorers will choose the Safari zones as per the availability. We are not giving commitment of any specific zone Safari.
    6. Room Allotment: In case of Odd number of Participants or Male / Female Ratio, It is not possible for Explorers to ensure that same Group / Family will accommodate in a same Room. TWO Persons on Bed & TWO persons will be provided by Mattresses, Blanket, Pillow, etc.
    7. Hot Water: In Early Morning Warm Water will be served for Refreshment & in Afternoon Hot Water for Bath.
    8. Drinking Water: Mineral Water Bottles will not be provided by the Explorers throughout the Tour.
    9. During the Camp all the participants should obey all the instructions and decisions taken by the authorised representative of Explorers or Camp Leader.
    10. During any type of event, in case of any dispute for whatsoever reasons, the decision of the Camp Leader or authorized representative of Explorers shall be final and binding on all the participants. The Participants shall be solely liable for the risks, responsibilities and consequences.
    11. Medical Treatment: In case of any medical ailments, a disorder etc. which the participants are suffering or have suffered from, it is his/her responsibility to inform the organisers in advance, before commencement of the camp or trek. If required, the participant(s) will have to take medical treatment from the doctor / attendant available on the campsite or from the nearest available medical centre or hospital. The expenses for all medical treatment and arrangements for the same will be solely borne by the participant ONLY. The Camp Leader or the authorised representative shall have complete discretion to continue the camp without the participant(s) suffering from medical problem.
    12. Photographs or Video Clips: Explorers reserves the right to use Photographs / Video Clips of the tourist taken on tour and / or given by tourist, for promotion of the Company’s Business without obtaining prior permission of the concerned tourist.
    13. Consumption of liquor, tobacco products, cigarette etc. is strictly prohibited during any type of Event. The trek will be considered over only when we are back to our decided arrival place.
    14. Participants should not deface or damage any monument by writing or scribbling on them. Any breach of the above two rules will be taken seriously, and will be removed from the trek or camp, and no refund is admissible in such cases.
    15. In case of any injury, sickness, accident, death or any other casualty or loss or damage of valuables or luggage or any equipment; Explorers, it’s instructors, organisers, volunteers or any other person involved wholly or partially, either individually or jointly, shall not be responsible in any manner for the same and no claims of the participants, parents, guardians, relatives or friends of participants will be entertained.
    16. If the participants have enrolled for the activities like wildlife camping or any type of adventure sports activity, then all the risks and responsibilities related to and arising from such activities shall be solely upon such participants and Explorers shall not be liable in any manner whatsoever.
    17. Insurance: Neither participants nor any event shall be insured by Explorers, unless mentioned specifically.
    18. Please Note that any Claims, disputes, court case, etc. shall be subject to Pune Jurisdiction only.
