About Valley of Flowers…

Blessed with the verdant beauty, valley is filled with 300 different types of flowers. Get a chance to witness the vivid flora and fauna of the region like Braham Kamal, saxifrages, sedums, lilies, blue poppy, calendula, daisies, dog flower and brown bear, blue sheep etc. Catch the glimpse of the famous Hathi Parvat and Saptrishi peaks while you head out on this trek. While at Hemkund Sahib take a dip in the holy water and purify your soul.The valley of flowers national park is the second core zone of the Nanda Devi biosphere reserve. The credit for the discovery of the valley of flowers generally goes to the British mountaineer Frank S.Smythe and R.L oldsworth who incidentally reached this valley after a successful expedition of mount Kamet in 1931. The valley of flowers lies main valleys of Alaknanda and Lakshman Ganga in Garhwal Himalayas in chamoli district of Uttarakhand. River pushpawati flows through this valley which has its source in the Tipra glacier which extends up to Gauri parvat peak. It is a flat valley 5 kms long and 2 kms wide. Its altitudinal range varies from 3200 to 6675 mts.

Day 1:

HARIDWAR / DEHRADUN TO JOSHIMATH, 275 kms – 10 Hours
Meet & greet by Team Explorers. Take Breakfast at your own& move for Joshimath. Begin a long distance, uphill drive from Haridwar to Joshimath. Along the way, pass Devaprayag to witness the holy confluence of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda Rivers to form the River Ganges. Arrive at Joshimath in late evening. Dinner &

Day 2

JOSHIMATH TO GOVINDGHAT BY ROAD & GOVINDGHAT TO GHANGARIYA TREK
Road Journey: 25 kms, 1 Hour |Trek Distance: 14 kms, 7 Hours |Altitude gain: 7780 ft to 10500 ft
After Breakfast move from Joshimath to Govindghat by Road& begin a Trek from Poolna to Ghangriya. Easy-moderate, Gradual ascent throughout on a well- defined trail.Arrive at Ghangaria. Check in at Hotel, Freshen-up & Explore the surrounding. Dinner.

Day 3

GHANGARIYA – VALLEY OF FLOWERS – GHANGARIYA, 8 Kms Trek
Trek Distance: 4 kms Trek Duration: 6 Hours |Altitude gain: 10520 ft to 11550 ft
After a Healthy Breakfast 4 km a rewarding Trek to Valley of Flowers. Scale a height of 11550 ft to arrive at the Valley of Flowers. Spend the entire day in a multicoloured Valley.The Valley is feast to the eyes and treat for the soul.Evening back to Ghangriya. Dinner

Day 4

GHANGARIYA -HEMKUND SAHIB – GHANGARIYA, 8 Kms Trek
Trek Distance: (One Side): 6 kms Trek Duration: 9 Hours |Altitude gain: 10520 ft to 14107 ft
After a Healthy Breakfast 6 km a continuous zigzak Trek to Hemkund sahib. Moderate to Difficult steep ascend for 4 hours to reach Hemkund Sahib. It is a religious site where Guru Gobind Singh is said to have meditated in a previous life. Hemkund Sahib is one of the highest Sikh pilgrimage sites in the world. The gurudwara is built beside a serene glacial lake known as Hemkund, whose crystal-clear waters reflect the surrounding snow-covered Himalayan peaks. Late afternoon return trek to Ghangariya. Dinner

Day 5

GHANGARIYA – GOVINDGHAT TREK & DRIVE TO BADRINATH TO JOSHIMATH
Trek Distance (One way): 09 kms, 4Hrs | Altitude Loss: 10520 to 6200 ft | Road Journey: 75 kms, 3Hrs

After Early breakfast downhill Trek to Poolna Village toGovindghat& immediately depart for Badrinath by Local Vehicle for Darshan. If time permits drive 5 kms for Mana, the last village on the Indian side of China border. Visit the Ganesh Gufa, Vyas Gufa & the origin of river Saraswati. Late evening reach Joshimath for Dinner.

Day 6

JOSHIMATH TO HARIDWAR – 275 kms, 10 Hours
After early breakfast either visit Auli at your own OR immediately drive towards Haridwar / Dehradun. Late evening around 7 pm reach Haridwar / Dehradun. Plan your return journey to your hometown accordingly OR stay at Haridwar at your own. Trek ends with everlasting Memories.

Tips for CAMPS

  • Familiarize yourself to new shoes before bringing them to the camp. Shoes must be large enough so that you can wriggle your toes with socks on.
  • Please avoid perfumes, Deodorants, scented oils on trails as these disturb the wild animals.
  • Carry a dull coloured dupatta /scarf to cover your ears and nose during the travel, safaris.
  • For Himalayan treks be sure to bring along your pullovers, jerkins / wind cheaters, monkey caps, gloves etc.
  • As protection against sudden downpour, do pack your clothes / equipment in separate plastic bags before putting them in the haversack.
  • Try to avoid Headphones or gossip with friends. You may miss many wonderful animals and birds in the bargain.
  • Wildlife sightings are a matter of chance but you can increase the probability of sightings by keeping absolutely quiet.
  • Do not make Tiger sighting an obsession. You may miss many wonderful animals and birds in the bargain.
  • Keep our wilderness clean. Please carry all non-biodegradable (plastic) waste back with you.
  • Do not litter on the trails.

  1. Food: Pure Vegetarian Food will be served by Explorers. If you want Non veg. Food, you can take it at Extra Cost at Actual. Please take the Railway Food (Tea, Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner) in Proper time at Own Cost. 
  2. Medicine: Bring personal medicines, if any & the necessary things given in a list.
  3. Railway Reservations: It is not possible for Explorers to ensure that the Participants will get Railway Reservations together or in the same compartment because of random seat allotment by Railway Computerized System.
  4. Transport & Jungle Safari: For Jungle Safari six people can travel in a Gypsy, but it is not sure that same Group / Family can travel in a same Gypsy. If any Natural Calamity or Technical problem results into late or Safari get cancelled then Explorers or the leaders of Explorers are not responsible for same & in that case No refund is admissible.
  5. Jungle Safari Zone: For Jungle Safari Explorers will choose the Safari zones as per the availability. We are not giving commitment of any specific zone Safari.
  6. Room Allotment: In case of Odd number of Participants or Male / Female Ratio, It is not possible for Explorers to ensure that same Group / Family will accommodate in a same Room. TWO Persons on Bed & TWO persons will be provided by Mattresses, Blanket, Pillow, etc.
  7. Hot Water: In Early Morning Warm Water will be served for Refreshment & in Afternoon Hot Water for Bath.
  8. Drinking Water: Mineral Water Bottles will not be provided by the Explorers throughout the Tour.
  9. During the Camp all the participants should obey all the instructions and decisions taken by the authorised representative of Explorers or Camp Leader.
  10. During any type of event, in case of any dispute for whatsoever reasons, the decision of the Camp Leader or authorized representative of Explorers shall be final and binding on all the participants. The Participants shall be solely liable for the risks, responsibilities and consequences.
  11. Medical Treatment: In case of any medical ailments, a disorder etc. which the participants are suffering or have suffered from, it is his/her responsibility to inform the organisers in advance, before commencement of the camp or trek. If required, the participant(s) will have to take medical treatment from the doctor / attendant available on the campsite or from the nearest available medical centre or hospital. The expenses for all medical treatment and arrangements for the same will be solely borne by the participant ONLY. The Camp Leader or the authorised representative shall have complete discretion to continue the camp without the participant(s) suffering from medical problem.
  12. Photographs or Video Clips: Explorers reserves the right to use Photographs / Video Clips of the tourist taken on tour and / or given by tourist, for promotion of the Company’s Business without obtaining prior permission of the concerned tourist.
  13. Consumption of liquor, tobacco products, cigarette etc. is strictly prohibited during any type of Event. The trek will be considered over only when we are back to our decided arrival place.
  14. Participants should not deface or damage any monument by writing or scribbling on them. Any breach of the above two rules will be taken seriously, and will be removed from the trek or camp, and no refund is admissible in such cases.
  15. In case of any injury, sickness, accident, death or any other casualty or loss or damage of valuables or luggage or any equipment; Explorers, it’s instructors, organisers, volunteers or any other person involved wholly or partially, either individually or jointly, shall not be responsible in any manner for the same and no claims of the participants, parents, guardians, relatives or friends of participants will be entertained.
  16. If the participants have enrolled for the activities like wildlife camping or any type of adventure sports activity, then all the risks and responsibilities related to and arising from such activities shall be solely upon such participants and Explorers shall not be liable in any manner whatsoever.
  17. Insurance: Neither participants nor any event shall be insured by Explorers, unless mentioned specifically.
  18. Please Note that any Claims, disputes, court case, etc. shall be subject to Pune Jurisdiction only.
