Bandhavgad Jungle Safari

About Bandhavgad Jungle Safari:

Bandhavgarh National Park is one of the popular national parks in India located in the Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh. Bandhavgarh is a legendry place and is having mythological importance. Bandhav + Garh, ‘Bandhav’ in english means the brother and Garh means the fort, so the name of bandhavgarh means the brother fort. The name of the reserve was due to the presence of ancient fort on the mountain. It was believed that lord Rama has gifted the fort to his younger brother lord lakshmana. This park has a large biodiversity. The density of the tiger population at Bandhavgarh is one of the highest known in India. The park has a large breeding population of Leopards, and various species of deer. Maharaja Sachin Singh Baghel of Rewa captured a white tiger in this region in 1951. This white tiger, Mohan, is now stuffed and on display in the palace of the Maharajas of Rewa. Monsson
