Pha Konda Peak Expedition is a very challenging & scenic, summer high-altitude Mountaineering Expedition cum Trek. Pha Konda Peak Expedition starts from the Prini road. Pha Konda Peak Expedition starts through lush green valleys, moraines, high-altitude meadows and dazzling landscapes. Once atop the Pha – Konda pinnacle peak (Trig Height) (4250m), another spectacular panorama of peaks appears stark Beas Kund valley. The snowcapped mountain valley view from Pha- Konda trig height is a photographer’s delight. You also see some good mountain peaks and a number of dazzling mountain massif from Pha Konda Peak.   • Day 1

    Pune – Mumbai – Delhi (3AC Train Journey)
    All Participants have to report at Explorers Office by Sharp 6.30 am. Depart for Bandra Terminus at 7 am. Breakfast on the way. Reach Bandra around 11 am (Mumbai Participants can Join at Bandra Station at their Own arrangements.) Board 12216 DEE Garibrath Express (3 AC) 12.45 pm & proceed towards Delhi.

    Day 2

    Delhi to Manali (Volvo Journey – 575 Kms, 15 Hours)

    Reach Delhi Rohila Station at 12.15 pm. After Lunch depart for Manali by Semi Sleeper Volvo around 4 pm.
    (Delhi Participants can Join us at Volvo Pick up Point at their Own arrangements.)

    Day 3

    Manali (Prini)

    Arrive at Manali Bus Stand around 9 am. Onward Journey for just 3 kms by Local Sumo. On arrival at base camp tents will be allotted. After Refreshment Introduction, Group Games & Group discussion.

    Day 4

    Prini to Thorku Dugh (1 & ½ Hour Trek)

    The day begins at 6 am with a warm up session and move to Thorku Dugh (2230m.) a meadow amidst of the silver fir forest. Trail ascends through forest till Mountain Base camp, which is one and half hours trek. Tent Allocation. As the day progresses the participants will go through an introduction of various rock climbing gear & equipment followed by a practical session on the rocks. They learn various kinds of knots and various climbing techniques.

    Day 5

    Adventure Activities at Thorku Dugh

    The day begins at 6 am the students will go through a warm up session. After having breakfast move for rock area for Rappelling session. During the Adventure activities our Team will focus on Fear and Risk Management issues followed by a group discussion on the same. During the second half of the day the participants will undergo valley crossing session till evening.

    Day 6

    Thorku Camp – Soroutoo (2900 m) 4 hours.
    After Breakfast get ready for scenic trek through dense Cedar and silver fir forests. One can see the whole of Manali and Kullu valley enrooted to Soroutoo. Tilgan to Sarra Bogi area is known as ‘Jhamari’ above the tree line, which is very popular for the local Gaddi shepherds. Relax in Tents or have some Group Games.

    Day 7

    Soroutoo – Teku Ri Tapri (Summit Camp) (3650 m) 5 hours.
    The trek starts with a moderate section at the start, through forest of silver fir, Bhujpattar and altitude increases gradually. Evening at Leisure.

    Day 8

    Summit Day – Height Gaining up to Pha Konda Peak (4250 m – 9 hours Trek)
    Get Ready for much awaited climbing to trig height mountain peak Pha-Konda could be very tiresome. The climbing to the top is very tricky through moraines and big boulders. The summit route is having a chilly and harsh wind till top. A view is magnificent from top of the peak and could see dazzling mountain peaks all around. One can take this venture as much as their physical condition allows to maximum height and back to camp.

    Day 9

    Teku Ri Tapri – Soroutoo (3 hours Trek)
    Trek descends down in a zigzag all the way down to campsite Soroutoo. Half of the day will be spent on recuperation of one’s loosen energies on trig height Pha- Konda expedition.

    Day 10

    Soroutoo – Base Camp Prini (2 hours Trek)
    Trail descends down through forest of blue pine, Cedar, oak, fir and via Shuru Village till Base camp Prini Road head. In the afternoon move to market and roam around and back to camp.

    Day 11

    Manali – Delhi (Bus Journey – 575 Kms, 15 Hours)
    After Breakfast participants are free to visit Manali Bazar with their own choice Lunch or report back to campsite for Lunch. In the evening, departure by Volvo to Delhi.

    Day 12

    Delhi to Mumbai (3 AC Train Journey)
    Arrival at Delhi around 7.30 am. Delhi Bus Point to Railway station by Local Car. Board Train 12215 Garibrath Express 3 AC for Bandra Terminus by 9.20 am.

    Day 13

    Mumbai to Pune
    Arrival at Bandra Terminus at 8.10 am. Proceed to Pune by Private Bus. Reach Pune around 2 pm. Relax at home with everlasting Memories.

    CANCELLATION POLICY

    Any cancellation by participant(s) must be communicated to Explorers Office in writing. The refund, if any, will be given after 7 days but before 15 days when the concerned event is over, irrespective of the date when the cancellation has been communicated to us.

    The Following deductions will be made in case of cancellation.

    • 30 Days before the Date of Departure – 25% of Regular Charges.
    • Within 30 Days but before 10 Days of the Date of Departure – 50% of Regular Charges.
    • Within 10 Days but before the Date of Departure – NO REFUND

    Tips for Pha Konda Peak Expedition

    • Familiarize yourself to new shoes before bringing them for Pha Konda Peak Expedition. Shoes must be large enough so that you can wriggle your toes with socks on.
    • Please avoid perfumes, Deodorants, scented oils on trails as these disturb the wild animals.
    • For Himalayan treks be sure to bring along your pullovers, jerkins / wind cheaters, monkey caps, gloves etc.
    • As protection against sudden downpour, do pack your clothes / equipment in separate plastic bags before putting them in the haversack.
    • Try to avoid Headphones or gossip with friends. You may miss many wonderful animals and birds in the bargain.
    • Keep our environment clean. Please carry all non-biodegradable (plastic) waste back with you.
    • Do not keep valuable while trekking / Camping.
    • Use plastic carry bags to save your mobile & Wallet.
    • Avoid Jean pant for inconvenience in Walking / Climbing.
    • Always keep your Original Photo ID with you.
    • Don’t expect similar food quality of your home town. Try Local food to have some different Experience.
    • Respect the Local Religion & Traditions.
    • While taking Photographs don’t click photos of Local people without their permission.
    • Keep Healthy environment & helpful nature while Trekking & at the time of Activity.
    • Do not litter on the trails.

    1. Food: Pure Vegetarian Food will be served by Explorers. If you want Non veg. Food, you can take it at Extra Cost at Actual. Please take the Railway Food (Tea, Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner) in Proper time at Own Cost. 
    2. Medicine: Bring personal medicines, if any & the necessary things given in a list.
    3. Railway Reservations: It is not possible for Explorers to ensure that the Participants will get Railway Reservations together or in the same compartment because of random seat allotment by Railway Computerized System.
    4. Transport & Jungle Safari: For Jungle Safari six people can travel in a Gypsy, but it is not sure that same Group / Family can travel in a same Gypsy. If any Natural Calamity or Technical problem results into late or Safari get cancelled then Explorers or the leaders of Explorers are not responsible for same & in that case No refund is admissible.
    5. Jungle Safari Zone: For Jungle Safari Explorers will choose the Safari zones as per the availability. We are not giving commitment of any specific zone Safari.
    6. Room Allotment: In case of Odd number of Participants or Male / Female Ratio, It is not possible for Explorers to ensure that same Group / Family will accommodate in a same Room. TWO Persons on Bed & TWO persons will be provided by Mattresses, Blanket, Pillow, etc.
    7. Hot Water: In Early Morning Warm Water will be served for Refreshment & in Afternoon Hot Water for Bath.
    8. Drinking Water: Mineral Water Bottles will not be provided by the Explorers throughout the Tour.
    9. During the Camp all the participants should obey all the instructions and decisions taken by the authorised representative of Explorers or Camp Leader.
    10. During any type of event, in case of any dispute for whatsoever reasons, the decision of the Camp Leader or authorized representative of Explorers shall be final and binding on all the participants. The Participants shall be solely liable for the risks, responsibilities and consequences.
    11. Medical Treatment: In case of any medical ailments, a disorder etc. which the participants are suffering or have suffered from, it is his/her responsibility to inform the organisers in advance, before commencement of the camp or trek. If required, the participant(s) will have to take medical treatment from the doctor / attendant available on the campsite or from the nearest available medical centre or hospital. The expenses for all medical treatment and arrangements for the same will be solely borne by the participant ONLY. The Camp Leader or the authorised representative shall have complete discretion to continue the camp without the participant(s) suffering from medical problem.
    12. Photographs or Video Clips: Explorers reserves the right to use Photographs / Video Clips of the tourist taken on tour and / or given by tourist, for promotion of the Company’s Business without obtaining prior permission of the concerned tourist.
    13. Consumption of liquor, tobacco products, cigarette etc. is strictly prohibited during any type of Event. The trek will be considered over only when we are back to our decided arrival place.
    14. Participants should not deface or damage any monument by writing or scribbling on them. Any breach of the above two rules will be taken seriously, and will be removed from the trek or camp, and no refund is admissible in such cases.
    15. In case of any injury, sickness, accident, death or any other casualty or loss or damage of valuables or luggage or any equipment; Explorers, it’s instructors, organisers, volunteers or any other person involved wholly or partially, either individually or jointly, shall not be responsible in any manner for the same and no claims of the participants, parents, guardians, relatives or friends of participants will be entertained.
    16. If the participants have enrolled for the activities like wildlife camping or any type of adventure sports activity, then all the risks and responsibilities related to and arising from such activities shall be solely upon such participants and Explorers shall not be liable in any manner whatsoever.
    17. Insurance: Neither participants nor any event shall be insured by Explorers, unless mentioned specifically.
    18. Please Note that any Claims, disputes, court case, etc. shall be subject to Pune Jurisdiction only.
