About Deo Tibba Base Camp Trek (Above 9000 Feet from Sea Level)
Deo Tibba Base Camp Trek is a very scenic, summer high-altitude trek. Deo Tibba Base Camp Trek starts from the Prini road head, the trek winds through lush green valleys, hanging glaciers, log bridges, high-altitude meadows and dazzling landscapes. To keep you company, are the peaks of the region – Deo-Tibba, Inderkilla and Hanuman Tibba. For the shutterbugs, Deo Tibba Base Camp Trek provides an ideal opportunity to go berserk. Leaving the Manali valley, Deo Tibba Base Camp Trek proceeds through evergreen cool forests of walnut, oak and the occasional alder. Deo Tibba Base Camp Trek gives view of the entire Kullu valley that is glimpsed all along the trail is excellent.   • Day 1

    Pune – Mumbai – Delhi (3AC Train Journey)
    All Participants have to report at Explorers Office by Sharp 06.30 am. Depart for Bandra Terminus at 7 am. Breakfast on the way. Reach Bandra around 11 am (Mumbai Participants can Join at Bandra Station at their Own arrangements.) Board 12216 DEE Garibrath Express (3 AC) by 12.45 pm & proceed towards Delhi.
    Overnight Train Journey.

    Day 2

    Delhi to Manali (Volvo Journey – 575 Kms, 15 Hours)
    Reach Delhi Rohila Station at 11.00 am. Freshen-up at waiting room. After Lunch depart for Manali by Semi Sleeper Volvo around 5 pm. Delhi Participants can Join us at Volvo Pick up Point at their Own arrangements. Pick up Location for Volvo for Delhi participants will be confirmed before 7 days of Departure.
    Overnight Volvo Journey.

    Day 3

    Manali (Shuru)

    Arrive at Manali Bus Stand around 9 am. Onward Journey for just 3 kms by Local Sumo. On arrival at base camp tents will be allotted. After Refreshment Introduction, Group Games & Group discussion.

    Day 4

    Shuru to Thorku Dugh Hills (1 & ½ Hour Trek)

    The day begins at 6 am with a warm up session and move to Mountain Base Camp to ThorkuDugh (2230m.) a meadow amidst of the silver fir forest. Trail ascends through forest till Mountain Base camp, which is one and half hour’s trek. Today’s trek is basically considering a lean & leisure walk to put participants deep into an acclimatization process and make them fit enough to higher camps. Muscularity activities at mountain campsite. After completion of muscularity exercises and return back to Lunch at base camp.

    Day 5

    Base Camp Shuru – Hamta Hills (2550M) / Setan Hills (2700m) 5 hours

    The next day the group goes on a high altitude trek via Chhalet Village and winds through Hamta village on the steepest section at the start. On the way to Panduropa before Setan is followed by a potato farm, which is one of the largest farms in Himachal. In the evening explore Setan camp and move to evening activities.

    Day 6

    Setan – Kharimindiyari (3250M) 4 hours.
    The trek starts with a moderate section at the start, through forest of silver fir, Bhujpattar, oak and chestnut. From the camp, there is an enchanting view of the Dhauladhar range and its lofty mountain peaks – Hanuman Tibba, Shikhar-bay, Maker-bay and Friendship peaks. From the campsite you can also have a full view of Chanderkhani Pass and the Malana valley. The Soroutoo area is known as ‘Thach’ meadow and is very popular for the local Gaddi shepherds. In Evening move for activities.

    Day 7

    Kharimindiyari – Zameer (3300m.) 5-6 hours.
    Today’s trek is an easy one with lots of streams, juniper and open space. Today’s trek gives a dazzling view of Kharimindiyari (meadows) and distant view of Raurikhauri. The trail passes through Bhujdhar (the name Bhujdhar means a place that has the trees from which the paper that was used in ancient times was made). It’s gradual walk through the riverside forest. Along the trail we see many Snow Bridge, Silver birch tree, silver fir and chestnut trees all the way up to Zameer. This campsite is lush green, has abundant natural spring water and surrounded by big boulders. The area is ideal for rock climbing and rappelling.

    Day 8

    Zameer – Piyangniru (3600m.) 3 hrs.
    The trek begins with a gradual walk up to some distance and little altitude is gained during the day. One can have a very close view of the mountain peaks, glacier valleys, hanging glacier, crevasses and a heart touching scenic panoramic view of almighty Deo Tibba peak. After having lunch visit to Deo Tibba glacier and back to camp.

    Day 9

    Piyangniru – Ooching Bihaii (3060m) 4 hours.
    It is very easy walk down along the Jhobri Nullah through the lush green valley right up to the head of Zameer. The trail descends gradually down on a grassy slope through Silver birch and silver fir trees till Ooching Bihaii. The campsite is in the midst of the silver fir meadows along the Alain Nullah. The name Ooching Bihaii means ‘the lap of mountain hills nearer the riverbed’.

    Day 10

    Ooching Bihaii – Base Camp Prini – 5 hours.
    An easy climb takes you to Jobri Bridge from where it’s a gradual walk through potato fields and small hamlets upto Hamta village. Trek from Hamta Tea stall to Base camp with One and half hours descending on the steepest section at the start in a zigzag way till Jamdagini Rishi Temple through apple orchards.

    Day 11

    Manali – Delhi (Bus Journey – 575 Kms, 15 Hours)
    After Breakfast Half day free for Shopping & report back at the Campsite in the afternoon. In the evening, departure by Volvo to Delhi. Overnight Bus Journey.

    Day 12

    Delhi to Mumbai (3 AC Train Journey)
    Arrival at Delhi around 10.00 am. Day free till 03.00 pm. Board Train 12910 BDTS Garibrath Express 3 AC for Bandra Terminus by 03.35 pm.

    Day 13

    Mumbai to Pune
    Arrival at Bandra Terminus at 8.10 am. Proceed to Pune by Private Bus. Reach Pune around 2 pm.Relax at home with everlasting Memories.

    CANCELLATION POLICY

    Any cancellation by participant(s) must be communicated to Explorers Office in writing. The refund, if any, will be given after 7 days but before 15 days when the concerned event is over, irrespective of the date when the cancellation has been communicated to us.

    The Following deductions will be made in case of cancellation.

    • 30 Days before the Date of Departure – 25% of Regular Charges.
    • Within 30 Days but before 10 Days of the Date of Departure – 50% of Regular Charges.
    • Within 10 Days but before the Date of Departure – NO REFUND

    Tips for Deo Tibba Base Camp Trek

    • Familiarize yourself to new shoes before bringing them to the Deo Tibba Base Camp Trek. Shoes must be large enough so that you can wriggle your toes with socks on.
    • Please avoid perfumes, Deodorants, scented oils on trails as these disturb the wild animals.
    • Deo Tibba Base Camp Trek be sure to bring along your pullovers, jerkins / wind cheaters, monkey caps, gloves etc.
    • As protection against sudden downpour, do pack your clothes / equipment in separate plastic bags before putting them in the haversack.
    • Try to avoid Headphones or gossip with friends. You may miss many wonderful animals and birds in the bargain.
    • Keep our environment clean. Please carry all non-biodegradable (plastic) waste back with you.
    • Do not keep valuable while trekking / Camping.
    • Use plastic carry bags to save your mobile & Wallet.
    • Avoid Jean pant for inconvenience in Walking / Climbing.
    • Always keep your Original Photo ID with you.
    • Don’t expect similar food quality of your home town. Try Local food to have some different Experience.
    • Respect the Local Religion & Traditions.
    • While taking Photographs don’t click photos of Local people without their permission.
    • Keep Healthy environment & helpful nature while Trekking & at the time of Activity.
    • Do not litter on the trails.

    1. Food: Pure Vegetarian Food will be served by Explorers. If you want Non veg. Food, you can take it at Extra Cost at Actual. Please take the Railway Food (Tea, Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner) in Proper time at Own Cost. 
    2. Medicine: Bring personal medicines, if any & the necessary things given in a list.
    3. Railway Reservations: It is not possible for Explorers to ensure that the Participants will get Railway Reservations together or in the same compartment because of random seat allotment by Railway Computerized System.
    4. Transport & Jungle Safari: For Jungle Safari six people can travel in a Gypsy, but it is not sure that same Group / Family can travel in a same Gypsy. If any Natural Calamity or Technical problem results into late or Safari get cancelled then Explorers or the leaders of Explorers are not responsible for same & in that case No refund is admissible.
    5. Jungle Safari Zone: For Jungle Safari Explorers will choose the Safari zones as per the availability. We are not giving commitment of any specific zone Safari.
    6. Room Allotment: In case of Odd number of Participants or Male / Female Ratio, It is not possible for Explorers to ensure that same Group / Family will accommodate in a same Room. TWO Persons on Bed & TWO persons will be provided by Mattresses, Blanket, Pillow, etc.
    7. Hot Water: In Early Morning Warm Water will be served for Refreshment & in Afternoon Hot Water for Bath.
    8. Drinking Water: Mineral Water Bottles will not be provided by the Explorers throughout the Tour.
    9. During the Camp all the participants should obey all the instructions and decisions taken by the authorised representative of Explorers or Camp Leader.
    10. During any type of event, in case of any dispute for whatsoever reasons, the decision of the Camp Leader or authorized representative of Explorers shall be final and binding on all the participants. The Participants shall be solely liable for the risks, responsibilities and consequences.
    11. Medical Treatment: In case of any medical ailments, a disorder etc. which the participants are suffering or have suffered from, it is his/her responsibility to inform the organisers in advance, before commencement of the camp or trek. If required, the participant(s) will have to take medical treatment from the doctor / attendant available on the campsite or from the nearest available medical centre or hospital. The expenses for all medical treatment and arrangements for the same will be solely borne by the participant ONLY. The Camp Leader or the authorised representative shall have complete discretion to continue the camp without the participant(s) suffering from medical problem.
    12. Photographs or Video Clips: Explorers reserves the right to use Photographs / Video Clips of the tourist taken on tour and / or given by tourist, for promotion of the Company’s Business without obtaining prior permission of the concerned tourist.
    13. Consumption of liquor, tobacco products, cigarette etc. is strictly prohibited during any type of Event. The trek will be considered over only when we are back to our decided arrival place.
    14. Participants should not deface or damage any monument by writing or scribbling on them. Any breach of the above two rules will be taken seriously, and will be removed from the trek or camp, and no refund is admissible in such cases.
    15. In case of any injury, sickness, accident, death or any other casualty or loss or damage of valuables or luggage or any equipment; Explorers, it’s instructors, organisers, volunteers or any other person involved wholly or partially, either individually or jointly, shall not be responsible in any manner for the same and no claims of the participants, parents, guardians, relatives or friends of participants will be entertained.
    16. If the participants have enrolled for the activities like wildlife camping or any type of adventure sports activity, then all the risks and responsibilities related to and arising from such activities shall be solely upon such participants and Explorers shall not be liable in any manner whatsoever.
    17. Insurance: Neither participants nor any event shall be insured by Explorers, unless mentioned specifically.
    18. Please Note that any Claims, disputes, court case, etc. shall be subject to Pune Jurisdiction only.
